Friday night out in the South Bay
Posted in San Diego on 03/06/2009 05:45 pm by adminTonight my husband and I will head out to Chula Vista about a forty-minute drive from our North County home. It is always a pleasure to head south and be in the thick of Filipino life in San Diego. I am hoping we get a chance to go to the bakery that sells the Obama Pan de Sal which someone concocted during the campaign.
We will also catch a late-night dinner at Conching’s which is open until the wee hours of the morning —- good for those who have been out partying and need some pinoy food before heading home.
Conching’s is one of the few places in San Diego that has this service. None in our neck of the woods. We drove up to the Studio Diner on Ruffin Road after finishing a movie, Slumdog Millionaire at Edward’s in Mira Mesa at 9:45PM last Saturday. It stays open 24/7 The place was packed and there was a long waiting line.
